Where We Started

The challenge

Given the recent rapid growth of Ferroque Systems, their previous website was not projecting the right impression to potential clients. Along with changes to their core service offerings and new strategic partner alliances, Ferroque’s growth now positioned them to attract larger client projects. As a result, the new website needed to support significantly more content – both in terms of amount of information, as well as the design elements used to present it with.

  • An outdated visual design that didn’t match the innovativeness of the brand
  • Text-heavy content that was not engaging for visitors to read
  • Little content highlighting the specific technologies and industries Ferroque excels in
  • No direct calls to action on the popular resource articles section
  • A somewhat rigid content management system
How We Collaborated

Design process

1. Original website

Visually, the previous website Leaf design created worked well. However, Ferroque System’s service offerings had drastically changed and it was time for a significant overhaul of the layout.

2. Design blueprint

This project blueprint brought together the input from the client, their marketing team, the copywriter, as well as Leaf Design.

3. Initial concept

The first draft of the Home page captured all of the required elements of the project blueprint and provided a more suitable presentation of content to their enterprise clients.

4. Final design

A handful of the panels were adjusted to a layout that more closely resembled the client’s vision and to better align with industry expectations.
The Results

Our solution

A more complete site

The previous website provided limited options when it came to laying out new website content. With so much new content that was planned to be published, the client was looking to have a wide variety of content layouts available. This included design elements that incorporated visual enhancements such as video, parallax backgrounds, animations, and other interactive. These elements also incorporated their revised branding guidelines to ensure that all their marketing materials had congruency.

Showcasing their expertise

Dedicated and detailed pages have been developed for each area of their technological expertise. These pages outline their knowledge and skills within the given technology and back it up with proof such as awards and industry certifications. With a focus on business outcomes and lengthy FAQs, the pages provide valuable insight to potential customers.

Another upgrade of the new website is in terms of the amount of audiences the content speaks to. Industry-specific content pages were developed to speak to the unique challenges of various audiences including healthcare, financial, governmental, and energy companies and organizations. This not only helps drives traffic to the site, but it also speaks directly to the concerns that these business are looking to address.

Robust resources

One goal of the new Ferroque website was to allow the company to document their significant understanding of various IT topics. Along with the existing news and events sections, three new types of articles were developed: Industry Insights, Technical Resources, and a Knowledge Base. This segmented approach allowed for content to be separated by the type of audience. Industry insights is targeted towards management teams, while the technical resources and knowledge base articles are curated to more the more hands-on technical roles. Combined, all of the resource content is a significant driver of traffic to the site and educates and informs potential new customers.
