The Problem

Content is why sites launch late

Most website projects don’t stall on design. They stall on content. The pages are built and waiting, but the words never arrive on time, or are provided in a format unsuitable for the page.

The content never arrives

Pages sit half-built while everyone waits on copy that keeps sliding down the priority list. The timeline waits with it.

What arrives is the wrong shape
Sometimes it’s a wall of text. Sometimes it’s three lines where a page needs a full story. Either way, someone has to rebuild it.
It describes the product, not the buyer
Copy that lists features rarely answers the question a buyer is really asking. Interest cools before they get in touch.
Every page reads the same
Generic phrasing blends you in with every competitor. Nothing on the page gives a reader a reason to choose you over them.
What We Offer

What strong B2B copy does

Design gets visitors to stay – words get them to act. We write pages around the way your buyers make decisions, so the site does more than look the part.

Starts from strategy

We define what each page is for and what it needs to prove before a single word is written.

Anticipates the next question

Pages ordered the way people decide, so the reader’s next question is always answered.

Sounds like your voice

Clear language that sounds like your team, not like marketing filler nobody reads.

Gets found in search

Built around what buyers type and mean, without stuffing in keywords that make copy unreadable.

Points to the next step

Every page ends with one obvious, low-pressure next step for the reader to take.

Remains maintainable

Templates and light guidance so the pages you write later still match the ones we prepare.

Our Approach

Where AI fits, and where it doesn’t

We use AI to break the content bottleneck, not to replace writers. AI is good at structure and first drafts. The final edit still needs a human touch.

What AI helps with

  • Mapping each page and drafting a starting point quickly.
  • Generating a few angles for a headline
  • Turning your rough notes or a short interview into structured, workable copy.
  • Keeping wording and structure consistent across a large set of pages.

What stays with our team

  • Strategy, messaging, and the final call on voice and tone.
  • Checking every claim so nothing inaccurate or off-brand goes live.
  • Deciding what each page should say (and what to leave out).
  • Reading the draft as your buyer would, and cutting anything that sounds like filler.

You get the speed of a draft that already exists, and the quality of copy a person has shaped and signed off on.

How We Work

A process built to keep content moving

Waiting on content is the most common reason a good project schedule drifts. Our process is designed so the words are never the thing holding you up.
1

Discovery

We learn about your business, your buyers, and the decision that each page needs to support.

  • Kickoff on goals and audience
  • Review of current content and analytics
2

Content blueprint

You get a clear page-by-page plan and a short brief for each one, so nothing is left vague.

  • Page inventory and message map
  • A brief per page, with the sections and length needed
3

First drafts

We produce a draft against each page blueprint quickly, with AI doing the heavy lifting on structure.

  • A complete first draft for every page
  • Formatted to each page’s layout
4

Editing and voice

Working from your existing marketing copy, a writer shapes the tone and makes the page sound like your business.

  • Human edited for voice and flow
  • Every claim is checked before publishing
5

Review

You review real copy in context, with a simple way to give feedback and see changes.

  • Structured review rounds
  • Build-ready files for your site

A real-world example

Most copy we receive isn’t wrong so much as vague and verbose. Below is an illustrative example of the kind of change our process makes.

Increase sales
Your message generates brand recognition, strengthens customer loyalty, and provides a valuable marketing opportunity to cross-sell and up-sell.

What changed?

Says more, with one-third the words

The section’s content is more succinct and sharper, making it more likely to be read (and acted on) by visitors.

Leads with the buyer, not a self-claim
The original opens by ranking itself. The rewrite opens with what the reader gets and why it matters to their business.
Scannable structure replaces a wall of text

Five dense paragraphs become a short list and three benefit blocks, allowing visitors to scan the highlights without reading every line.

Buried benefits are surfaced

The three payoffs that sat mid-paragraph in the original each become their own headed section a reader can find at a glance.

Calmer, more credible tone

The original leans hard on exclamation marks and trailing dots. The rewrite drops the hard-sell punctuation and reads like a confident supplier rather than an ad.

Improved calls to action

The generic “Contact us” button was revised to offer both a primary and a secondary call to action.

Example Work

Content-led projects

From small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, we’ve collaborated with a wide range of B2B organizations.

Financial

Sterling Card Payments

A provider of modern payment systems, Sterling Card wanted a website that looked the part. Along with a complete redesign, the copy for the website was written from the ground up.

  • Spec-heavy product pages targeted only at IT professionals
  • Newer service offerings completely missing from website

Our improvements

  • Targeted copy towards their core audience of financial executives
  • Product pages spoke about benefits to their bottom line
  • All services offered were represented with a unique page
Industrial & Manufacturing

Atlas High Purity Water

The world of commercial water filtration is highly technical. Leaf Design worked in partnership with Atlas to prepare more digestible content as part of the project build.

The issues

  • Only 3 core pages existed on the old website
  • Generic services offered with no clear definition of the target customer
  • Benefits to the customer were not mentioned

Our improvements

  • Wrote copy for 20+ pages, using existing marketing material as a technical reference
  • Built industry-specific pages to speak to Atlas’ areas of expertise
  • Landing pages created for each individual service
Marketing & Events

On-Hold Marketing

To improve conversions and turn more website visitors into leads, Leaf Design worked with On-Hold Marketing to craft a website with a refocused marketing message.

The issues

  • Lengthy paragraphs of text discouraged visitors from reading

  • Service benefits were hidden within walls of text

Our improvements

FAQs

Don’t see the answer you were looking for? Please send us a message and we’d be happy to help.
Do you use AI to write the content?

Yes, as a tool, but never as the final word. AI helps us plan pages and get a first draft down fast. A writer then edits for voice, checks every claim, and signs off before anything reaches you. The thinking and the final quality are handled by our own team.

Do I still need to provide input?

Yes, but far less than usual, and in a much easier form. You are the expert on your business. We will pull what we need through a short interview or your rough notes, then shape it from there. We’ll save you from staring at a blank screen, unsure where to start.

Can you match our brand voice?
If you have a voice or style guide, we write to it. If you don’t, we listen to how your team already talks about the business and build a light set of guidelines as we go.
Do you write more than website pages?

Website pages are the core of this service. We also write closely related assets such as landing pages. If you need something outside that, ask and we’ll tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit. And if not, we can probably refer you to a team better suited to help.

Do you write only English content?

Yes, our team only writes copy in English. If you are publishing a multilingual site, we have connections with translation services that can create alternate versions of the content such as French and Chinese.

Will the copy be good for search engines?
We write around what your buyers search for and mean, and we structure pages and headings so search engines can read them clearly. We don’t stuff keywords, because copy written for robots tends to perform poorly with humans.
We already have some content. Can you work with that?
Often, yes. Editing and sharpening existing copy is usually faster than starting over. During our discovery phase, we’ll tell you when a page is worth rewriting rather than patching.
Can you write copy for a site you didn’t design?
Yes. This service works on its own, and it also pairs naturally with our website design service when you’d like both handled by one team.
