We started on Main Street, and many of our Markham clients are still with us today
Our founder grew up in Markham – went to school here, first job here, the whole thing. So when Leaf Design was formed, it didn’t take much deliberating about where to put it.
Our first office was a small shared space on Unionville Main Street. A few years later we moved to a more modern office near Highway 7 and Warden.
We moved the studio to Burlington in 2018 as part of a personal relocation. While our postal code changed, our client list didn’t. A number of the businesses we took on in those Markham years are still with us – some having completed multiple website redesigns with us over the last two decades.
We’re about an hour away now. For the clients who’ve been with us since the Unionville days, that has turned out to matter a lot less than either of us expected.

On-Hold Marketing
To improve conversions, Leaf Design developed an extremely flexible custom WordPress website with a refocused marketing message.
Canadian International AutoShow
Headquartered in Markham, Canada’s premier auto show required a website that spoke to both automotive consumers, as well as the manufacturers.
SterlingCard Payment Solutions
A provider of modern payment systems, SterlingCard required a website that looked the part. Along with a complete redesign, the copy for the website was written from the ground up.
The Markham Pan Am Centre was the aquatics and badminton venue built for the 2015 Pan American Games.
Leaf Design led the project to design a logo for the facility, as well as build the original website.
The building is one of the busiest community facilities in York Region, having been host to over 600 sporting events and seeing over 2 million visitors through its doors.
Although the work was performed over a decade ago, it is still a website project that we are proud of being a part of.
NOTE: After 10 years, the City of Markham has recently retired the original website and incorporated the content into their main website portal.
We thoroughly enjoyed working directly with Leaf design as we developed our Markham Pan Am Centre website. Our result was more than what we expected!
Our closest collaborators are two Markham-based organizations that we’ve worked alongside for years. They’re frequently involved in our larger builds, and the relationships predate our move west.
